Hey everyone! I just built a new system with a 9800x3d CPU, a 5070 ti GPU, and 32GB of DDR5 RAM. My goal is to play games at 4K using DLSS. I've heard from some experts that the RAM shortage could last up to two years, so I'm wondering if 32GB will be sufficient for gaming in this high-resolution setup. I'd like to know your thoughts!

I’m running with 64GB for other reasons, and I've never noticed any single game using more than 20GB, even at 4K. So trust me, 32GB will be just fine.

Honestly, 32GB should be fine for gaming. Unless you're tackling some complex rendering or really heavy games, you shouldn't run into issues. Just keep it chill!

Exactly! More RAM is great, but 32GB can handle most games these days.

If you’re cautious, 32GB is definitely enough. Some people hype the need for more RAM, but 16GB has been good for most setups for ages now. You're pretty safe with your 32GB for the time being.

There are very few games that actually need more than 32GB. Most of the time, it's just badly optimized titles like Escape from Tarkov or super demanding ones like Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. Even heavily modded games can sometimes push it, but it's rare.
