Do I Need a Separate Voltage Stabilizer for My PC?

I've been experiencing voltage fluctuations while gaming due to some power grid issues. This caused my PC to shut down suddenly, and I noticed my power supply started making weird noises. I ended up replacing the PSU, and now it's running fine, but I'm worried about this happening again. Should I invest in a separate voltage stabilizer or something similar for better protection?

It's actually surprising that more people don't use them! A surge protector or an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) is definitely a wise move to safeguard your PC from power issues.

In some countries, voltage stabilizers are pretty common because they protect appliances from power issues. Most modern power supplies handle a pretty wide voltage range (100-240 volts), so in places with 220-230 volts, they usually cope well even during minor brownouts. But if you’ve got a cheaper power supply rated for 200-240V or strictly 220-230V, it might struggle with brownouts and could definitely benefit from a voltage stabilizer or UPS.
