Hey everyone, I'm in a tough spot after switching from Intel to AMD. I recently upgraded my setup with an MSI Pro B650-A WiFi motherboard, DDR5 CL30 32GB Kingston RAM, and a new 2TB NVMe drive. After swapping everything, my system just won't post. The power lights come on, but it seems like the DDR5 needs to perform some memory training. The first time I tried, it went on for an hour with no changes. I noticed that the motherboard LEDs indicate a problem: the CPU light is red and the DRAM light is yellow. I've reseated the CPU, RAM, and GPU multiple times, and I even attempted to remove the CMOS battery but couldn't get it out. My CPU is a Ryzen 7 9800X3D. Any advice would be super helpful!

Have you checked if your motherboard's BIOS is up to date? Sometimes older BIOS versions might not support newer CPUs like the 9800X3D. If you can, try using the BIOS flash button with a USB to update it. Just be sure to follow the manual instructions carefully, especially for renaming the BIOS file!
It sounds like your CPU might be faulty. You mentioned doing quite a bit of testing, and if a new motherboard doesn’t solve the issue, it could definitely be the CPU at fault. Just keep that possibility in mind as you troubleshoot further!
