I'm trying to install my old GTX 1060 video card into my new rig while I wait for my 5060 to arrive, but the BIOS/UEFI doesn't seem to recognize it. My new setup has a 7800X3D processor, an ASUS TUF B850M-Plus Gaming WiFi motherboard, 32GB of Trident Z5 RAM, and a Seasonic 650W PSU. When I connect my monitor to the motherboard and use the integrated GPU (iGPU), everything boots up fine, but the desktop performance is painfully slow, leading to black screens and artifacts. If I switch the monitor connection to the GTX 1060, the system fails to boot and the VGA debug LED lights up. I've ensured the BIOS is up to date, set the PCIe to gen 3.0, and reset the BIOS configuration without success. The GTX 1060 was working perfectly in my previous setup based on an i5. Any suggestions?

It sounds like there might be an issue with the GPU itself, maybe it developed a fault? Try removing the GTX 1060 completely and see if you're still getting artifacts with just the iGPU. If artifacts persist, you might have bigger issues with the new build rather than just the GPU being faulty.
Since you're getting some output, the GTX 1060 is likely compatible, but it really does seem like a GPU failure could be the culprit. Remember, if it's plugged into the GPU and the system doesn't boot but works fine on the iGPU, that’s a red flag.
