How Can I Recover Data from a Formatted SSD?

I accidentally formatted my secondary hard drive, which is an SSD, using the quick format option in Windows 11 Disk Management. I haven't been able to find any of my files using various recovery software tools. The only thing visible is 90GB of System Volume Information, but I expected to see some actual files. Is there any way to recover my lost data?

By the way, just to clarify, was your drive actually an HDD or an SSD? Your title mentions both, so it's kind of confusing!

Since it's an SSD, recovering data can be tricky. When you do a quick format, the SSD's controller gets a signal to clear the data, so it could be a lost cause unless you had backups. If the drive was powered off shortly after you formatted it, professional recovery services might help, but it sounds like you may be out of luck if you've been trying to recover it for a while.

Make sure not to write anything new to the SSD. Doing so can overwrite the data you're trying to recover. Try using tools like Disk Drill, RecoverIt, or R-Studio for recovery. Good luck!
