Hey folks, I ran into a bit of a pickle while setting up my new computer. I tried to set up a recovery point and ended up mistakenly marking my 1TB SSD as a recovery drive, which is a total disaster since it holds my Steam games and important YouTube project files. I almost wiped it clean before I realized that my games are still recognized and running, so the data might still be on the drive. Here's the kicker: it's showing up as two recovery drives, one 1GB and the other 999GB. Is there a way to recover my data? I attempted to use Disk Drill, but it only picked up the new partition and not the one with my actual data. I'm really stumped and any help would be appreciated!

If trim is enabled on your SSD, it might be too late for recovery, but since you can still access your games, it sounds like there's some hope!
You might want to try using advanced data recovery software like R-Studio, DMDE (both paid), or TestDisk/PhotoRec (open source). These tools can scan the raw drive for existing files, bypassing the current file system. The chances of recovering everything are slim, especially for game saves, but it's worth a shot!
Thanks for the suggestions! I’ll give it a go and keep you posted.
Just a heads up, don’t lose hope too quickly. I’ve had some luck with these tools in similar situations!

I thought so too, but I was able to play a 60GB game stored on the drive, which suggests that the data is still there.
