Hey everyone! I'm looking to hear from those who have experience with two specific laptop models I'm considering using Linux on. One is an HP Pavilion 15 with a 10th gen Intel processor, and the other is a Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 (14ILL10), which has some newer features. I'm leaning towards Arch Linux, but I'd love to hear your experiences with these models and whether all Lenovo features would still work well on Linux since it's a newer laptop. Thanks!

Honestly, you can try any distro since they all run on Linux, but if you're just starting out, I'd suggest going with something user-friendly like Mint or ZorinOS. If you're feeling daring, give Fedora a shot!
I think Mint is a great fit for the HP, especially for beginners—it's simple to use and comes with multiple desktop options like Cinnamon, XFCE, and MATE. For the Lenovo, though, I’d hold off on Mint for now since it's still based on an older Ubuntu version. If you prefer Mint's vibe, give Mint Debian Edition a go. It’s based on the latest Debian release!
Check out this guide on how to install Ubuntu on Lenovo devices: [Lenovo Support Guide](https://support.lenovo.com/ca/en/solutions/ht512165-how-to-install-the-ubuntu-oem-image-on-your-lenovo-platform). You can also explore all the available Ubuntu flavors here: [Ubuntu Flavors](https://ubuntu.com/desktop/flavors). Try using Ventoy to put them on a USB stick for quick testing!

I get that, but I'm curious about the specific features on the Lenovo. I just want to ensure Linux will support everything I need, which is why I'm asking about personal experiences!
