Hey everyone! I've just built a new PC using various components, and I'm running into issues trying to install Windows 11. My parts list includes a Gigabyte B850 Gaming motherboard, an AMD Ryzen 5 9600x CPU, a Cooler Master Hyper 212 cooler, 32GB of Patriot Viper DDR5 RAM, a Samsung 990 EVO Plus SSD, a PowerColor Reaper Radeon RX 9070 XT GPU, and a MONTECH 850W power supply. I've successfully POSTed and reached the BIOS, where everything seems to be recognized correctly. However, when I try to boot from a USB drive to install Windows, I get some errors like "0xc000098" and "0xc0000221", indicating issues with the system registry or kernel. I've reseated cables and tried different USB ports, but I'm still stuck. Any tips or advice to get me through this?

Have you tried using a different USB flash drive? Sometimes those drives can be finicky. I recommend downloading the Windows 11 ISO and using Rufus to create a fresh installation medium; it really helps with compatibility. Also, double-check the connections: that EATX connector should be 24 pins and your graphics card should require two 6+2 cables!

Thanks for the suggestion! I have used a couple of PNY drives but I’ll try a different brand soon. Rufus seems simple enough, I might give that a shot. Thanks for catching the connector errors too!

First off, make sure you're getting those dump files from your BSODs if you can boot into Windows or Safe Mode. These files can really help diagnose what's going wrong. Check in C:WindowsMinidump for any crash logs and upload them online for analysis. Multiple files are best since they provide more context!
