Tips for Using XtremDownload Manager on Linux

I'm looking for advice on how to effectively download files from direct download sites using XtremDownload Manager on Linux. I used to rely on Internet Download Manager (IDM) on Windows, which handled downloads smoothly, but now I find the built-in browser downloader on my Linux distribution (Linux Mint Cinnamon) is painfully slow. Any tips or tricks to streamline my downloads?

If you're trying to find a download manager that mimics IDM’s features, consider checking out File Centipede. It’s been recommended by some users as a solid alternative for Linux.

I actually managed to fix the slow download issue myself! Turns out I just needed to install the browser extension for XtremDownload Manager. Now everything's working like a charm. It's definitely worth a try!

That’s great to hear! Did installing the browser extension improve your download speeds significantly? I’m curious if it was just a speed boost or if there are other advantages over using the standard browser manager.
