Is My RTX 3070 Ti Being Bottlenecked by My CPU?

I've just upgraded from a 2060 to an RTX 3070 Ti and was excited about the performance boost. However, after testing it in various games, including Cyberpunk, I noticed that my CPU usage hits around 90% while the GPU only reaches about 65% usage. My frame rates aren't much better than what I had with the 2060, and I'm starting to wonder if I've made a mistake with my settings or the Nvidia control panel. I'm playing at 1080p, so could that be causing the issue? Or is there something wrong with my GPU?

What settings are you using in Cyberpunk? If you're playing on ultra with ray tracing, you might still get a CPU bottleneck due to how demanding the game is. Sometimes, lowering settings can balance your CPU and GPU usage better.

Yeah, I was running it on ultra with some ray tracing to test things out.

First off, make sure your graphics drivers are fully updated. Sometimes old drivers can cause performance issues. It’s a common fix!

I checked, and my drivers are updated to the latest version.

Take a look at your RAM specs. How much RAM do you have, and what's its speed? Also, check if your CPU, the 12400, is running at 4.4GHz while gaming. That might help in identifying any bottlenecks.

I have 32GB of DDR4 running at 3000MHz, and I think the 12400 was around 4GHz.
