I recently had a scare with my Samsung S22 Ultra. While I was really tired, I opened an email that I shouldn't have and clicked on a PDF attachment. It started downloading before I got a grip on the situation and canceled it. A few hours later, I received an alert that someone accessed my Outlook email from Luanda, Angola. I quickly booted them out, reset my password, and turned on two-factor authentication. I thought I already had that set up, which made me feel even worse. They were in my email for about 4 minutes, and I'm worried they may have accessed all my messages. I don't believe they can reach my financial accounts just with my emails, but I need advice. Is there a chance they installed a keylogger on my phone? Should I consider doing a factory reset?

First things first, definitely run a virus scan on your phone. If that makes you feel more secure, a factory reset could be the next step. It's always better to be safe than sorry. If you find anything suspicious, be sure to take action right away!
I ran a virus check too after a similar scare, using both Windows Defender and BitDefender. Neither found anything, but I'm still unsure if something sneaky got installed that those checks couldn’t catch. That sort of thing can happen, which is why it’s wise to keep your phone's software updated and to be cautious about what you download.
