My girlfriend is facing a frustrating issue where her phone is trying to charge her $15 every time she attempts to download an app, despite them being advertised as free. Usually, these charges don't go through, but this time it actually did, and now the app won't download. It seems like her account is still trying to process this charge for any purchases. Does anyone know how we can fix this?

It sounds like she might have an outstanding balance with Apple. This can happen if she has previous app or in-app purchases that remain unpaid. Apple's system might be preventing her from downloading new apps until that balance is cleared. Check her Apple ID account for any pending charges!
Have you guys tried contacting Apple Support? They could give you more detailed info about the charge and help resolve any issues with her account. It could be worth a shot!
Just to clarify, she isn't actually being charged $15 for each free app. It really seems like Apple is trying to collect on an amount she still owes. Until that's taken care of, downloading new apps will probably be blocked.
Could it be that it's a scam app? I’ve heard of apps that mimic the download process. Just make sure she’s downloading from official sources.

I didn’t realize Apple would do that. So basically, if you owe them money, they won’t let you download anything until it’s settled?
