Clarifying Microsoft Identity Governance Pricing for User Licensing

Hey everyone! I'm looking to automate some processes for onboarding and offboarding both internal users and external guests. Our current manual methods often get overlooked, especially for external users, and I want to streamline this. We are a small to medium-sized business with around 200 users on 365 Business Premium licenses, and we run a hybrid On-prem Active Directory and Entra setup. Entra Identity Governance looks like it could really help us out now and in the future. However, I'm a bit confused about the pricing model. Will I need an Identity Governance license for all user objects, including external guest users, or just for the users who hold M365 licenses? I'm open to any experiences you've had with Identity Governance and other alternatives!

The licenses you assign are crucial here. All users need a license depending on the features you want to implement. At minimum, you'll need a P1 license, but keep in mind that it offers limited features. You can find more detailed licensing info on Microsoft's site. It's essential to check that out!

We have 365 Business Premium for our employees, which includes a P1, but our external guests aren't licensed since they're B2B Collaboration users. We're aiming for the Microsoft Entra Suite to utilize Lifecycle Workflows, Access Reviews, and Entitlement management.
