Is There Already a Solution for Collaborative Community Management in Messaging Apps?

I'm developing an instant messaging and community management system that's similar to platforms like TeamSpeak, Discord, or Slack. The challenge is that these current services are so popular that switching feels unnecessary for most users. My system's unique selling point is that it allows community members to actively participate in administration, which I believe is something not offered by existing messaging services. I would love to get feedback on whether there's a need for this service and if anyone knows if similar concepts already exist in the marketplace.

You’re really asking people to predict how the market will shift, but I think the best approach is just to create your platform and see how it evolves. Reflect on the feedback as you go along!

Keep in mind that Discord already has a solid bot community and a well-functioning API for customization. If you can find unique functionalities that fill a gap, there's potential, but be prepared for a steep uphill with user adoption given the strong competition from existing platforms.

Honestly, I don't see much usefulness in a new platform at this stage. You’d have to present a really compelling value proposition to get people to switch from what they already know and use.

You might want to explore creating a Discord bot first. It would let you showcase your idea leveraging Discord's user base, rather than trying to get people to switch to a brand-new platform right away. Think about what your goals are—whether to prove the concept, build a new chat service, or create a resource without monetizing it.

Why not just create a minimum viable product (MVP) and test the waters? Focus on what sets your vision apart from competitors and see if it genuinely offers something different or useful.
