I'm working for a sizable company with over 1000 employees, and I've been discussing with the End User Compute (EUC) team and InfoSec about the potential of using MacOS in our organization. Over the past couple of years, Macs have evolved from being just over-priced devices for casual use to becoming robust options for business needs. I think it could be beneficial to make Macs the default choice for new hires since most of our applications are now Software as a Service (SaaS), thanks to various niche cases in some departments. Unfortunately, while everyone else is on board with this proposal, our CIO is worried about the security of Macs in an enterprise environment. Although I typically agree with security concerns—given Microsoft's experience with group policy management—I'm looking for resources or evidence to help change the CIO's mind about using Macs. We've already referred to Apple's business resources, but are there other references or strategies we can use?

Many companies have successfully integrated Macs, with Google being a prime example. However, managing Macs requires a different approach compared to Windows environments. You'll need a solid Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution that supports MacOS well, along with skilled IT staff who understand the nuances of maintaining Mac devices. If you don't have that expertise readily available, you could face bigger hurdles with Macs than with Windows machines.

Absolutely! It’s like how iPhones are managed—Apple restricts many configurations, so you're limited to their MDM capabilities. With the rise of Apple Silicon, managing certain features has actually become more complex.
