Hey everyone, I've been out of the PC building scene for about four years now, and I need some advice on a router for my parents' home, which is about 2500 square feet. They've been struggling with weak Wi-Fi signals, especially in the room above the garage and their bedroom. I tried a Wi-Fi extender, but it keeps losing connection multiple times a day. Currently, they're using the router provided by Comcast, but I'm looking to buy a new one for around $150 or maybe a bit more if it will significantly improve their internet performance.

I'd recommend the ASUS RT-AX86U Pro (AX5700). It's a fantastic router, and I’ve been using it in my home. You can find it on sale for about $170 on Amazon, and sometimes even cheaper second-hand. I can stream 4K games effortlessly from my office to any TV in the house. Definitely check out reviews and videos to see if it's the right fit for you!
I'll definitely check it out! Do you think I need a mesh system, or will this router be good enough for my parents' house?
