How Can I Change My Monitor’s Refresh Rate?

I recently got a GIGABYTE G27Q2 monitor, but I'm having trouble with the refresh rate. The monitor's settings show it's running at 60Hz, even though Windows shows it as 120.21Hz. I'm new to this as I've been using older laptops for years, so I could really use some guidance on how to fix this!

To check why your monitor is showing 60Hz, make sure you're looking in the right place. It could be that there's a button on the monitor you need to use to access the settings. Also, verify that your graphics card can handle refresh rates above 120Hz; if it can support it, you might just need to tweak some settings. Lastly, having multiple monitors can sometimes affect the refresh rate settings, so consider that too.

It's great that you noticed the difference in refresh rates! Check your monitor's on-screen menu for display settings; it should help you adjust it. Since you mentioned your laptop supports 120Hz with the 3050 graphics card, there might be a setting in the laptop that could be preventing the higher refresh rate from being enabled. Don't hesitate to reach out for more help if you need it!
