Looking for Budget-Friendly PC Options for Data Analytics

Hey everyone! I'm teaching myself data analytics and using a Mac, which has been a bit of a hassle because I have to hack things to get them to work. Going from my MacBook to my desktop is starting to get really annoying since I have to set everything up again. I'm considering switching to a PC, specifically Lenovo since my husband can get a deal on them, but I'm also looking at Asus. Keep in mind I haven't used a PC since Windows 98! My budget is under $700, if possible. I won't be running anything too heavy—just SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI, and I'd love to have something that can also handle The Sims because I'm a nostalgic millennial. Any recommendations?

Have you thought about running a virtual Windows environment on your Mac? Programs like Parallels or VMware Fusion can let you run Windows alongside macOS, which could be a good solution without needing to buy a whole new computer right away. Just something to consider!

That sounds interesting! I’ll definitely check it out since both my devices are on Ventura. Thanks!
