Why does my PC stop recognizing the W key when I hold it down?

I've been dealing with a frustrating issue for several months where my PC stops recognizing the W key being held down while gaming. It seems to occur randomly across different games, causing my characters to stop moving. The crazy part is that all other key inputs are accepted just fine. The only way to get the PC to acknowledge that I'm holding the W key is by pressing it again. Once it starts happening, it tends to happen more frequently until I have to restart my computer. I've tried a number of solutions like getting a new keyboard, disabling sticky keys, updating drivers, turning off the overlays from Steam and Discord, disabling Logitech G Hub, and even changing the USB ports, but nothing seems to work. I'm at my wit's end and can't find any help online. Can anyone offer some advice?

Have you checked what operating system you're using? I had a similar problem with Minecraft on Linux where I had to disable a specific timer that made the system mistake holding a key for a mistype. Might be worth looking into your system settings!
