Hey everyone, I'm really not that tech-savvy, and I need your help! I recently upgraded my SSD because my C drive was getting too full with only 150 GB left. The upgrade went fine, and I booted up with a new OS. However, I didn't realize I needed to back up my files, and now I can't find anything. My D drive still shows that things are downloaded, but all of my apps and games say 'install.' What's the best way to recover my lost files? Should I switch back to the old SSD and try to retrieve the 86 files that were still there? I'm really stuck and could use some guidance!

You can definitely switch back to your old drive! Once you plug it back in, everything should be accessible. After that, I recommend cloning the old drive to the new one using cloning software from your SSD's website. Just a heads up though – make sure you have a good backup plan moving forward!
Could you give us a little more info about your setup? It sounds like you're not too worried about losing data, just installed apps, right? If the apps were on the D drive, you might be able to point your Steam installation back to that drive to find your games. Just be careful if there's anything important, though; maybe get a tech-savvy friend to help if you're not comfortable!
My main concern is getting the computer to recognize the downloaded apps since I also lost my OBS settings. Everything seems to be installed on my D drive, but the new SSD isn't recognizing them.
