How Can I Learn C++ Effectively Without Relying on Tutorials?

Hey everyone! I'm diving into embedded software engineering and have learned some basics of C through courses on Udemy. I want to branch out into C++ since I've had some classes in it before, but I've realized that I really dislike learning from tutorials. They feel draining to me and take away my motivation. Reading books isn't great either, as I'm a pretty slow reader. I'm eager to start building projects, but I'm worried about missing important details in C++ that could come back to haunt me later during job interviews or debugging. What steps do you suggest I take next in my learning journey?

The best way to learn is to just create something. Your first project might be rough, but that’s okay! Each project will help you improve. Soon enough, you’ll build something you're proud of and willing to show off!

Totally agree! The first project is just practice, and each one after that will be less painful. You’ll get into a groove eventually!

With C++, you'll definitely encounter some surprises. Don't stress too much about understanding everything at first. Just learn as you go; that's part of the process!

I suggest just diving in and compiling some code while paying attention to errors that come up. Modern debugging tools give a lot of helpful feedback, so you won't be completely lost. Also, user documentation can be really useful! 😊
