I'm experiencing some weird flickering on my setup. I have a PNY Quadro A2000 graphics card connected to a 4K 144Hz monitor using a mini-DisplayPort adapter and a DisplayPort cable. Initially, I tried the original mini-DP to DP adapter that came with the graphics card, but I could only achieve 4K at 60Hz. Whenever I tried to push for a higher refresh rate, I ended up with a black screen. So, I opted for an aftermarket adapter, which allowed me to get 144Hz, but now I'm noticing occasional flickers. These flickers happen all the time, not just during gaming. On 4K 60Hz, both the original and the aftermarket adapters work without issues. I suspected the aftermarket adapter was at fault, so I purchased a different mini-DP to DP adapter, but the flickering persisted. I'm fairly confident it's not the monitor or the cable since I can reach 4K at 144Hz using a different GPU with a full-size DisplayPort. To double-check, I tried a second Quadro A2000 and experienced the same flickering. I'm running Nvidia drivers version 581.42, and I know the card supports 7680 x 4320 at 60Hz, which made me think it could handle 4K at 144Hz too. Am I missing something here?

It sounds like you might be experiencing a bandwidth issue with the mini-DP spec since it can struggle at higher refresh rates, especially at 4K. If possible, try using a different port or a more robust cable—you might have better luck!
Have you checked the settings on your monitor? Sometimes the refresh rate settings might default to something lower, which could cause flickering. It's worth a look!

I haven't changed any settings, but it displays fine with another GPU. Just trying to figure out what's going wrong.
