How to Build a Résumé for a Junior System Admin Position?

I've spent quite some time in customer service roles and even supervised a team at one job. While these positions weren't exactly well recognized or well compensated, I graduated recently with a bachelor's degree in information technology and I'm looking for advice on my résumé. I think my previous jobs, despite their titles, have given me valuable experience that can help me land my first role as a helpdesk technician or junior system analyst. Can anyone give me tips or assistance in creating a strong résumé?

It would be great if you could share your current résumé, as that would allow for more specific feedback. Otherwise, people can only guess what changes might help.

Do a complete brain dump of every task you handled at your jobs, no matter how small. Then, you can use an AI tool to help craft that into a résumé that can get through the ATS. Just remember to refine it afterward!

Make sure you frame your impact using sysadmin language. Focus on examples like training people, handling complex issues, or improving processes. The STAR method can be really helpful here!

Just list out everything you've done and mention the technologies you worked with. Don't hold back! Make sure you highlight skills relevant to system administration.
