My friend just bought a used computer and here are the specs: STGAUBRON B75M4 motherboard, Intel i7-3770 at 3.40GHz, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 (6GB), and 32GB DDR3 RAM. I'm uncertain about the power supply. I think we need to upgrade the motherboard first, ideally to one that supports DDR4, but I'm worried about the rising prices of RAM. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

That setup is pretty outdated. The motherboard uses DDR3, which means you can't upgrade to DDR4 without getting a whole new platform. Honestly, it's a fairly balanced system for its time, but if you upgrade the GPU, you'll find the i7-3770 becomes the bottleneck. The GTX 1060 is decent, but it's not that powerful by today’s standards. If you want to make a significant upgrade, you might want to change both the motherboard and the GPU together.

I think starting with a new motherboard makes sense. Once you’re ready, you could give your friend your 1660 Super. Just keep in mind that the pricing of DDR4 RAM can be pretty steep right now.
