I'm on the lookout for a new graphics card to play popular titles like the latest God of War, RDR2, and The Last of Us. I found a used GTX 1080 for just $100, but I'm concerned about its lack of ray tracing and DLSS features. Are there better alternatives for around this price? Should I just go ahead and get the GTX 1080 or is there a different GPU that would serve me better for 1080p gaming?

$100 for the GTX 1080 is fair, but keep in mind it's an older card. If you're in a bind and need a quick fix, it could work for now!
You might want to consider looking for a 2060 Super or 2070. They usually fit into that price range and offer better performance overall.
Have you thought about getting an RX 6600? You can often find it around $150, and it outperforms the 1080 while being more recent. The 2060 would also be pretty comparable but might be pricier.
You might get more bang for your buck with AMD. The GTX 1080 just doesn’t have the same features as modern AMD options.
Honestly, I wouldn't go for a 10-series card these days. If you're set on price, a cheap 1080Ti might still perform decently at 1080p, but keep in mind these cards are getting old and the lack of DLSS won't help with future games. Do you have a strict budget? If so, that might change things.
I agree! I'm using a 1080 right now and it's rough. You'll likely need to play newer games on low settings to even get decent performance. If this $100 deal is crucial for your gaming, it might be okay, but if you can, hold out for something newer.
