Hey everyone! I'm in the market for a second M.2 SSD specifically for game storage, aiming for around 2TB. With SSD prices going up lately, I'm looking for the best value for my money since I have a tendency to overspend unnecessarily. I'm hoping to keep my budget around $240 to $300 given the recent price increases. I would really appreciate any suggestions or recommendations you might have. Thanks!

There are definitely better and pricier options out there, but the WD Black SN850X is a solid choice. It performs well without breaking the bank compared to the top-tier drives. Also, the Samsung 990 EVO is worth mentioning as a reliable choice too. Both should serve you well for game storage.
If you're just using it for games, honestly, go for the cheapest option available. The only thing to keep an eye on is sustained write speeds after the cache fills up, which can slow things down when transferring or restoring large game files. But typically, you'll be fine with any SSD for regular gaming scenarios. Just make sure it's a decent non-SATA M.2 drive and you should be good to go!
You might want to check out the WD Blue SN580 or the Samsung 990 EVO Plus. They’ve been reliable in various builds. That said, maybe look at the Transcend MTE220S as well; it’s another good option! Each of these should fit nicely into your budget.
