I'm really frustrated with how Windows Explorer behaves when I try to eject removable storage. Unlike Windows 7, it just closes instead of allowing me to navigate back to This PC or my Desktop. Is there a way to fix this in the settings?

If you're trying to eject while still accessing files, what's the plan there? Ejecting means you shouldn't be using it anymore. Just switch to a different folder before ejecting.
Yeah, I feel your pain! This issue has been around since XP! They made changes, and it seems like we just have to deal with it.
One workaround is to make sure you're viewing a folder that isn't on the drive you're ejecting. When you eject the drive while Explorer is open to a different folder, it won't close because it can't find any files from the ejected drive.
Honestly, that's just how it behaves now. You'll have to adapt to it. It's been a thing since Windows 7 and nothing has changed since then.
