How to Fix My Gaming PC Overheating Issues?

I'm having trouble with my gaming PC overheating, and I'm feeling pretty lost about it. I've got an 11th generation i9 processor and an RTX 2060, plus two monitors—one of which is 4K. I've checked the specs, and I should be able to run most games without issues. However, some games freeze my PC due to high temperatures, and I often have to restart it. This overheating happens even during normal tasks! I've tried several things to fix it, like removing the case for better airflow, experimenting with cooler positions, and even buying a water cooler. Do you know if there's a way to disable the overheating safety shutdown? Or what else can I do to address this problem? Thanks for any help!

I feel for you, I went through the same frustration. Make sure your fans are working well and that you've cleaned any dust buildup from components. Overheating can also be caused by software issues, so check if there are any background programs consuming a lot of resources. If you haven't already received your water cooler, it might be worth waiting and testing that out first before going deeper into troubleshooting.

First off, it’s crucial to keep an eye on your CPU temperatures. If your water cooler can’t handle the heat, there might be a bigger issue. Rather than thinking about disabling the safety shutdown (which isn't safe at all!), make sure your cooling system is working properly first. If you're still hitting temps above 63 degrees, you might have a hardware issue or airflow problem. You should consider reapplying thermal paste or checking if the cooler is seated correctly.
