Why Is My DDR5 RAM Only Running at 4800MHz Instead of 5200MHz?

I recently built a PC with DDR5 RAM that's advertised to run at 5200MHz, but out of the box, it's only showing 4800MHz. I have the XMP profile enabled in the BIOS, but the maximum option I can select is still 4800MHz. My motherboard is the H610M K V2, and my CPU is an i5 14400F, which I believe officially supports only up to 4800MHz. Could this be why I'm not seeing the higher speed? I'm using Corsair Vengeance DDR5 RGB RAM and I'm starting to wonder if I got scammed. Is the difference between 4800MHz and 5200MHz even worth worrying about?

Yeah, I would agree. If your computer runs smoothly and meets your needs, those 400MHz aren't really a deal-breaker.

Honestly, I wouldn't stress too much about those extra 400MHz. For most tasks, the performance difference between 4800MHz and 5200MHz is pretty minimal. Focus more on other components that can have a bigger impact on performance!

It's true that your CPU only supports up to 4800MHz. So, unless you switch to a higher-tier motherboard, you won't be able to run your RAM any faster than that. It's not uncommon for people to eventually overclock RAM higher than what the CPU officially supports, but it can vary a lot depending on the setup.

That's odd; I heard of others overclocking their setups with the same CPU.
