I'm having trouble with my iCloud backups because I'm out of space and can't afford to upgrade. If I turn off backup for all apps except for iCloud Photos, will my apps still download again if I get a new phone? I'm mainly worried about keeping my photos, podcasts, notes, passwords, calendar, text messages, and phone settings safe. Looking for some advice on how to back up effectively without paying for extra storage!

While it's true that you can redownload apps, I'd recommend considering the option of extra iCloud storage if you can swing it. Even the basic plan at $1 a month gives you enough space for important stuff. I understand money is tight, though! Just keep in mind that if something happens to your phone, valuable data may be lost without proper backup. But definitely focus on the essentials if you really can't add any costs right now!

I get that, I wish I could help more but it can be tough to balance everything. Focus on saving whatever you can if you ever think you'll upgrade later!
