Can I Combine Parts from Two Old Office Computers?

Hey everyone! I've got two older PCs from my office—one that boots only to the BIOS menu and another that runs Windows 10 just fine. I'm wondering if it's possible for me to take the hard drive, RAM, and possibly the fans from the non-booting PC and install them in the working one. For more details, the motherboard of the working PC is an Asus Prime B250M-C, and it has 2 out of 4 RAM slots available. Both hard drives are 1TB Seagate Barracuda, and the RAM chips are 4GB Kingston. Any advice would be super helpful!

First off, you’ll want to check both PCs for their specific parts to ensure compatibility. If the non-booting unit doesn’t have an SSD or HDD, that might be why it’s stuck in BIOS. Also, it’s quite surprising they let you take a HDD from the office! Make sure to keep everything organized when you open them up for the parts you're swapping.

When it comes to switching the RAM, since both are Kingston 4GB, you should just be able to plug them into the working PC without much hassle. Just make sure the RAM sticks are seated properly. After adding them, check your BIOS settings to ensure everything is recognized. Sometimes you might need to update the BIOS for new hardware.
