Should I Upgrade or Buy a New PC?

I recently got an old computer from a friend and I'd like to give it a boost, but I'm completely new to this. My budget is around £600 (or its equivalent in euros or dollars). Here are my current specs:

- Motherboard: Intel X7-VB V3.2
- CPU: i7-2600
- GPU: GTX 1030
- RAM: 2x8gb Samsung DDR3 1600MHz

I know my setup is outdated. Would it be better to just buy a new PC or can I realistically upgrade this one? If you have suggestions for parts or prebuilt systems, I would really appreciate your help! If you need more details, just let me know and thanks for being patient with me!

Honestly, you're looking at almost needing a whole new system. If you start upgrading, you'll end up replacing the CPU, motherboard, RAM, and GPU, plus likely the power supply. At that point, you might as well just get a fresh setup and keep the case if you're attached to it. That's my two cents!

Yeah, I feel the same way. For your budget, a prebuilt computer could give you a solid starting point. You can always upgrade parts like storage and RAM later!
