I'm curious why my Intel Core i5 12400F only hits around 3988MHz during benchmarks, although the manufacturer states it can reach up to 4400MHz. I have Intel Turbo Boost enabled, but it seems ineffective. My BIOS also shows a processor speed of 4000MHz. Any insight would be appreciated!

Have you checked if your BIOS and chipset drivers are fully up to date? Sometimes, outdated drivers can affect performance significantly.
That's pretty normal! Turbo Boost tends to kick in for just one core when needed, so if you've got a single-threaded task, that's when you'll see it potentially hitting 4.4GHz. For heavy multi-core loads, the boost will be lower.
Turbo Boost activates only when there's a demand for extra power. Keep in mind that it usually won't cap all cores at maximum boost due to heat limits. So if you're pushing all cores, it might not hit that peak frequency every time.
Just a heads up, the benchmarking method you’re using could decide how many cores are being taxed. An all-core benchmark may not get every core to that maximum boost.
