Hey everyone! I'm really frustrated with my desktop PC running Windows 11. It seems to be really picky about which applications can connect to the internet. For example, my Steam and Discord are working just fine, but I cannot get any web browsers to connect, and I'm having trouble running Minecraft online. I even tried turning off my firewall to see if that helped, but no luck. I've already messed around with the connection settings, updated my drivers, restarted the router, and changed the DNS server settings. I even tried using Surfshark VPN, but it couldn't connect either. Any advice on what might be going on?

It sounds like a tricky issue! Since some apps are working, it might be worth checking your proxy settings. Sometimes having a misconfigured proxy can block certain applications while allowing others. Also, consider flushing your DNS cache; you can do that by running 'ipconfig /flushdns' in your command prompt. Hope this helps!
Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the apps that aren't connecting? Sometimes a fresh start can help resolve weird connectivity issues. If you haven’t done it yet, also check if there are any Windows updates pending; keeping your system updated is crucial for network stability!
Thanks for the tip! I’ll definitely give the uninstall/reinstall a shot.

Good point! Also, you might want to look into your network settings to see if there's anything unusual. Sometimes the settings can get mixed up after updates.
