I'm working in a shared medical office where the front desk receptionist needs to switch easily between a Mac mini and a Windows PC. There's limited desk space, so I want to set up a system where they can control both using the same keyboard, mouse, and display. I'm also considering a KVM over IP setup so the support team can access the Mac remotely when needed, but I'm not sure how it compares in performance to RDP. Has anyone found a good KVM solution that works well for both Mac and PC? Any recommendations on brands would be appreciated. Thanks!

You might want to look into software solutions like Barrier for shared control. There's also Deskflow, which many say works better than Barrier and seems to have more recent updates. It could be worth testing at home first before you decide on a setup.
Deskflow sounds intriguing. I might give it a try!
For KVM switches, check out Raritan's options. They offer secure and certified models that could fit your needs well: 4K KVM over IP switches may also be a good investment.
Why not just use RDP to connect from the Mac to the PC? That might simplify things a lot. Plus, if you're managing both setups, getting rid of extra cables at the front desk can really help with organization.
That's a solid point! Making space at the desk should definitely be a priority.
Yeah, that could work for sure.
I recommend investing in a good KVM switch. Make sure to label the buttons clearly for the Mac and Windows setups. Remember, if you go for a cheaper option, you might end up spending more in the long run, especially for a setup with two doctors involved.
Thanks for the tip!

I'll definitely check those out. Thanks for the recommendation!
