I have a Kindle ebook that was delisted and only exists digitally, with no physical copy available. It's a true crime book about a famous murder suspect, which I believe the author removed from sale due to legal issues. Unfortunately, I've tried reaching out to the author several times without any luck. I want to save this book, but Amazon doesn't allow downloads from the Kindle app. I'm using the desktop Kindle app on my iMac. What's the best way to convert this ebook to PDF? I've thought about taking screenshots and copying the text into a document, but that seems inefficient since I wouldn't be able to search for terms easily. Any suggestions?

Totally, Calibre is perfect for this! Just transfer the book from your Kindle and use it to convert to PDF easily.
If Calibre isn’t an option, you could try Adobe's PDF Scan app. Open the ebook on your computer and use the app on your phone to scan each page. It can automatically recognize page edges and does OCR for searchable text. I haven’t used it with screen content, but it might be better than just screenshots.
You should check out Calibre! It's a free program that helps manage eBook libraries and can convert files into different formats, including PDF. Just remember that it requires the book to be not DRM protected to work properly.
