I'm picking up my new PC from England and will be taking the Eurostar back home. I'm unsure if it's okay to lay the PC on its side during the trip, or if that could cause any issues. I really don't know much about PCs, so any advice would be appreciated!

If your PC has a graphics card, it’s best to remove it and carry it separately. If you don’t have a GPU, it should be safe to transport as long as you secure it well. Just make sure it doesn't get jostled around too much.
I usually just put it in a backpack or a large bag when I travel by train. There's usually enough room to keep it upright, but I wouldn’t stress too much if it has to lie down. Just be mindful of how much you care about things like a glass side panel!
Honestly, it shouldn’t be a huge deal if you lay it down, as long as you’re careful not to move it a lot. Just make sure it’s cushioned somewhat. Depending on the train, there’s usually some space for luggage.
If you still have the original shipping box or case, that’s the best way to transport it. Pack it in there. But if you can’t remove the GPU, make sure it's protected well. Just avoid laying it down if possible, but if you do, try not to bump it around.
