I'm putting together a new PC and weighing my options with RAM. I'm considering a 5600MHz CL40 RAM and I'm wondering how much it might affect gaming performance at 1440p, especially in comparison to a 6000MHz CL30 RAM. I'm using an R5 9600X CPU and a RX 9060 XT with 16GB of RAM. Is the performance hit from the slower RAM significant, or should I be more focused on other components?

Honestly, the difference is likely to be minimal, maybe just around 1fps. For most games, especially at 1440p, you're probably not going to see a huge impact from the RAM speed alone.
Check out this link which dives into RAM latency: [techpowerup.com](https://www.techpowerup.com/dram-latency/). In reality, most gamers might not notice the difference in nanoseconds. It’s more about the overall performance in practical terms.

I get that, but those small differences do add up. A few nanoseconds might seem trivial, but think about all those operations happening every second. Just 1 nanosecond can mean missing out on several clock cycles at 5GHz!
