My iPhone 16 Pro Won’t Charge Again! What Should I Do?

I recently purchased an iPhone 16 Pro in July, but a few days ago it wouldn't charge when the battery dipped to 5%. Instead of charging, it just turned off. I checked the charging port, and it was clean, but even the MagSafe charging didn't work. Since it was under warranty, I took it to the Apple Store, and they replaced the logic board, which unfortunately caused me to lose almost 70GB of data that wasn't backed up to iCloud. I needed my phone fixed quickly because I rely on it for work. However, today the battery ran low again, and it turned off, so I tried charging it, but it won't turn on at all. I've tested three different chargers and even attempted a forced reboot, but nothing is working. I really don't want to keep going to the Apple Store because it's frustrating, time-consuming, and disrupts my work. Can I ask Apple for a replacement phone instead, especially since I'm concerned this might keep happening after my warranty expires? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I wonder if using any off-brand chargers could be damaging your phone? It’s always a risk with those.

You lost all that data when Apple fixed your phone. I’m just curious, why wasn’t everything backed up to iCloud? It's worth considering more reliable backup methods in the future!

It sounds like you might be dealing with a faulty charger or possibly a bad cable. Have you checked those thoroughly? Sometimes it’s the simplest things that cause the most hassle!

I thought that too at first, but I’ve tried different chargers, even the wireless one, and none of them work. It's so frustrating!

Do you have access to a fast charger? Some of them can actually cause damage to your device over time.

I initially used the original Apple cable and adapter, then tried a few others, including my laptop charger. None have worked, and even the wireless charger is dead!

Just a thought, are you using the same power outlet for all those different chargers? Sometimes the outlet itself can be the problem.

Hmm, I tried multiple outlets, even at my brother's house, so I don’t think that’s the issue.

Keep trying! My MacBook had similar charging issues, and eventually it booted back up on its own after being plugged in for a while.

I hope that happens with mine too!!!

Why are you putting up with this issue? It’s a new phone you invested a lot in, and it’s disappointing that you're facing this so soon!

When you bring your phone to Apple for repairs, they decide whether to replace or repair it. If you have AppleCare+, you could ask for an Express Replacement Service. Just a heads up, you might get a refurbished device instead of a new one, but at least it will have a new battery.

Thanks for the info! Looks like I’ll have to head back to Apple, but good to know I have options.
