Can I prove my colleague hacked my phone at work?

So, I received a photo from a colleague at work a few months ago that could be damaging if it got out. After some disagreements, I noticed that the original photo seems to have been replaced with a different one, and there were no notifications saying a message was unsent or anything. We both have iPhones, and since I've started to feel like my phone has been acting weird, I suspect it might have been hacked. We also use the same WiFi at work. How can I find proof that my phone was hacked?

Look, the chances that your colleague actually hacked your phone are almost zero. The hardware and skills required for that kind of hack aren't something you'd find easily. Just maybe consider that they just deleted or changed a photo on their device and it didn't notify you for some reason.

Three months is a long time, and it's possible you're mixing up the details. If that photo has changed, maybe it’s just a case of the sender deleting it soon after sending. Plus, if you've forwarded it, could they have just changed their mind later on?

Honestly, compromising someone's phone is no small feat, especially without physical access. Most hacks happen through phishing or software vulnerabilities. So, it’s pretty improbable that your coworker hacked you. They could have just deleted the photo; that's a much simpler explanation than a full-on hack!

If your colleague didn't have physical access to your phone, it's tough to say you were hacked. If the photo was in iMessage, it could just be that they deleted it or swapped it out without you realizing. It's kind of common for things like that to happen with messaging apps.

It sounds more likely they just deleted the picture from their end in whatever messaging app they used. If it was iMessages, changes like that can reflect on both devices. Hacking your phone would be a huge deal and requires a lot more than just swapping pictures.
