What should I do after getting scammed on a second-hand gaming PC?

I recently faced a frustrating situation where I traded my old Xbox Series X for a second-hand gaming PC, but it turns out the seller misled me about the specs. I did not inspect it thoroughly before finalizing the trade. Here's what I got: Asrock B450 Pro4 motherboard, Ryzen 7 2700x CPU, RX 580 GPU, Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4-3000 RAM, and a Corsair RM750 PSU. I was initially thinking of upgrading the GPU to a 5060 Ti, but I read that my CPU might bottleneck its performance. Should I stick with this PC and upgrade the parts gradually, or should I just resell the components? My goal is to play modern games at 1080p with max settings, although I might look into a 1440p monitor later on.

You should definitely consider upgrading that GPU. The RX 580 is really holding you back. An upgrade to something like a 5060 Ti is a solid start, and your CPU should still manage fine at 1080p. If you're feeling a bit budget-conscious, the 5600 or 5700x would also be good options down the line. Just curious, how much did you trade that Xbox for?

Honestly, those specs aren't terrible for modern games but yes, the GPU is in desperate need of an upgrade. Your system would perform a lot better with a 5060 Ti or even the 9060 XT. The 2700x is fine for now, and you can always upgrade later when you have more budget.

I traded my Xbox for it but always aimed for a value around $450. Do you think a 5060 would still perform decently until I can upgrade the CPU?
