What are some budget-friendly mid-tier GPUs for gaming?

I'm not very tech-savvy when it comes to PC hardware since my cousin built my system. While my current setup isn't terrible, it struggles with modern gaming. I tend to avoid big AAA titles, but I'm aware that hardware demands are only going to increase. With NVIDIA slowing down GPU production, I want to upgrade to something better before prices skyrocket.

Here's what I currently have:
- **Processor**: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-10105F @ 3.70GHz
- **RAM**: 16 GB
- **Storage**: 477 GB SSD
- **Graphics Card**: AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT (4 GB)

Since I'm not an expert, I'm unsure what features to look for in a GPU or if there are other parts worth upgrading. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Your budget will guide your choices. You could find some decent used GPUs if you’re open to that. It’s a good way to save some dough!

Are there any risks with buying a used GPU? I'd consider spending up to $400, but I want to be cautious.

If you're considering new GPUs, options like the Arc B580 or RX 9060XT 8GB are around $250. The B580 might have better longevity with more VRAM, while the 9060XT shines in performance when VRAM isn’t an issue. If you can stretch your budget, the RX 9060XT 16GB is about $350, offering great performance for several years at 1080p without bottlenecking your CPU too soon.

I'm aiming to play modded Minecraft with shaders and some AAA games at medium settings, but my current setup struggles with that.
