What Linux Distro is Best for Programming and Light Gaming?

I'm looking to dive into programming and do some light gaming on my laptop, which has an RTX 5060. I've been suggested Pop!_OS, but I'm a bit concerned that its smaller user base might mean less support. Any recommendations?

Given your laptop is fairly new, I suggest checking out CachyOS, EndeavourOS, or Ultramarine Linux. For a more user-friendly experience, you might like Linux Mint (with MATE or XFCE), MX Linux, or Zorin OS Core. Pop!_OS is good too, but for the newest hardware, distros with more recent kernels might suit your needs better.

Do you mean newer hardware isn't supported yet?
