How to Keep My Room Cool While Gaming?

I recently noticed that gaming on my PC, which has an RX 7900 XT and a Ryzen 7 9800X3D, makes my room quite hot. For example, when playing Elden Ring, the temperature rises noticeably. Since I limit my games to 60 FPS, I'm wondering if my PC consumes more power than necessary? I don't understand underclocking well, but could it help manage the temperatures? Additionally, I have quality Noctua fans and I'm not concerned about noise. I just moved to Georgia and didn't expect this heat issue!

It's pretty common for gaming PCs to heat up a room, especially with powerful components. Undervolting both your GPU and CPU might help reduce the heat output. Reducing the power usage could really cool you down while gaming.

I've found that opening a window and using a box fan works wonders. Just let some cool air in when it’s late!

Yeah, definitely use fans to help vent the hot air outside. If you can set up an extractor fan near your window, that could really help keep things cooler.

I did that too! It's amazing how much a small fan can help circulate the air and reduce the heat in the room.

Yeah I totally get that! When I game in summer, it gets hot too. Maybe just invest in a good stand-alone fan to blow the heat away from your PC and vent it out of the room!

You might want to consider capping the FPS further or using some software to check your CPU and GPU power usage. Those components can generate intense heat, especially if they're running near their maximum.

It might be worth considering a mini air conditioner or adjusting the fan curves to max out your cooling. Anything that maximizes airflow can go a long way during hot seasons.

If you're pulling around 500 watts constantly, that’s basically like running a space heater. Keep your PC near a window to help manage the heat, and make sure to circulate air around the room!
