I'm thinking about getting an old laptop that has a GTX 1660 in it. Is there any way to use that GPU in my desktop computer? I know it might sound silly, but I'm really curious since I'm currently stuck with integrated graphics, and my CPU is much stronger than what's in the laptop.

There are rare cases where a laptop GPU is on an MXM card, which allows it to be swapped out, but your GTX 1660 laptop is likely not one of them. The practical option would be to look for a desktop GPU instead.
Nope, you can't use a laptop GPU in a desktop. Usually, laptop GPUs are soldered directly onto the motherboard, so they aren't easily removable. Selling the laptop and getting a dedicated GPU for your desktop is likely your best option.
Unfortunately, the GPU is soldered in, but you might consider selling the laptop to fund a desktop GPU. Just keep in mind that if the laptop's not yours to sell, that won't help you much. If it's not functioning properly, can you at least use it as a second monitor?
