Should I Stick with Intel or Switch to AMD for My New Build?

I'm looking to upgrade my setup since my motherboard failed unexpectedly. I currently have an Intel i3-12100f, but I'm considering whether I should get a new motherboard and stick with LGA1700 or switch to an AMD AM4 platform. My other components include 32GB of DDR4 RAM and a Radeon 9060XT with 16GB. I'm not located in the U.S., so I'll be importing parts from Amazon. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Both LGA1700 and AM4 are last-gen options now, so it’s tough to recommend either unless you can snag them at a great price. Just keep in mind that DDR5 RAM prices can influence your total cost—it might just come down to what’s available and affordable where you are.

If you’re starting fresh, I’d recommend looking into the AM5 platform for AMD. The AM4 line isn't getting any new releases, which could limit your options down the line.
