I attempted to upgrade my PC from Windows 10 to Windows 11 today, but I'm running into some issues. I used the PC health check tool, and it indicated that my system is eligible for the upgrade. However, when I check the settings under updates, it shows that I'm missing some critical safety and quality fixes. Also, when I try to search for updates, nothing comes up, and there's no option available for an instant upgrade to Windows 11. For context, I have an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, a GeForce GTX 1060, and 16GB of RAM, so I don't think it's a hardware problem. I'm currently on version 22H2 of Windows 10.

It's always a good idea to consider a clean install instead of upgrading directly from Windows 10, especially if you're having issues. If you decide to go this route, make sure to back up all your important data first. Create a bootable USB for Windows 11, then tweak your BIOS settings for compatibility—set boot type to UEFI, enable Secure Boot, and make sure fTPM is turned on. Once you're all set, boot from the USB and delete all partitions on your system drive before installing.

Just a heads up, even after preparing everything, sometimes the installation can fail. It took me a couple of tries before it finally worked, so don't get discouraged if it doesn't go smoothly the first time!
