I've been dealing with a frustrating issue where my screens keep going dark and the fans ramp up to full speed, and it's been happening for about two weeks now. Sometimes it occurs after short use, and other times, it doesn't happen at all after hours of usage. Today has been exceptionally bad; I can't even boot up my PC without this issue popping up.
I noticed in my reliability history that I'm getting Live Kernel Event Errors, typically numbers 1b8 or 141, but I can't check right now since my screens are dark. I recently upgraded my system with an RTX 5070 graphics card and a new 1000W power supply, and everything was running smoothly at first. Here are my PC specs:
- Motherboard: ROG STRIX B550-F Gaming
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X (6 core)
- RAM: 16 GB
- Storage: 1 TB SSD & 250 GB SSD
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070
I've tried various troubleshooting steps, like stopping any overclocking and ensuring my graphics drivers are up to date. One thing that concerns me is that my BIOS is outdated, but I'm hesitant to update it because I fear I might mess things up. Can anyone help me understand what's going on?

Have you tried using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller)? It’s a tool that completely removes your graphics drivers. I know it can be risky if your PC crashes during the process, but it could solve your problem.

I'm not sure if I can spare the time to do that before my PC crashes. Plus, I'm really worried about breaking something.
