Help with External Hard Drive Space Issues

Hey everyone! I'm having trouble with my new SanDisk 1TB external hard drive. I'm trying to back up my photos using Google Takeout, which is splitting them into 13 parts. However, I keep getting a message saying that there's no more space on the drive when I'm only around seven parts in. Each part is about 50GB, and I only seem to be using around 350GB total on the drive. I've already wiped the hard drive using Disk Utility, so I'm not sure what's going wrong. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? Thanks in advance!

It sounds like there might be a chance that the drive isn't actually 1TB, or it could be that the caching system is pointing to another drive with less space. You might want to double-check where you bought it from, just to be sure it's legit.

You might want to check the specific size of your hard drive by right-clicking and selecting 'Get Info.' If it shows 1TB, then it should be good! Also, ensure that your system isn't saving temporary files elsewhere.
