Is 90°C Too Hot for My Used RX 6700XT GPU?

I picked up a used RX 6700XT GPU about three months ago from a PC shop that included a six-month warranty. They encouraged me to test it thoroughly, and so far, I've put it through its paces. Initially, it peaked at around 70°C while running two games at 4K side by side, and usually stayed between 50 and 60°C during normal sessions. However, I recently noticed it hit 90°C while I was playing Dead by Daylight in the background while studying. This is the first time I've seen it get that hot, and I'm a bit concerned. It also crashed about five times since I bought it, but that hasn't happened in the last two months. Is 90°C a temperature that I should worry about? I did run FurMark for about ten minutes and it maxed out at 75°C.

If your GPU hits 90°C without throttling, it’s generally considered okay. GPUs can operate safely at higher temperatures, but it's crucial to monitor for throttling as well. Keep an eye on performance during your gaming sessions!

If it’s not throttling, then it should be fine. Just keep an eye on it, and if you notice performance drops or frequent crashes, it might be worth investigating cooling options.

What are the clock speeds and fan RPMs when it's under load? 90°C is quite high, but if your card isn’t throttling down, it may still be fine. Just be aware and consider adjusting the fan speeds if you’re worried.
